Introduction to Contemporary Art Practices with Efi Michalarou
An intensive eight-hour seminar for artists, students and graduates in fine arts and related fields, designed to deepen their understanding of professional practices in the contemporary visual arts and help them present their artistic work more effectively.
Drawing on her extensive experience in contemporary art, journalist, art critic and curator Efi Michalarou introduces practical tools for developing an artist’s professional identity, communicating their work, and building relationships with curators, galleries, collectors, institutions and the wider art community.

Instructor
Efi Michalarou
Efi Michalarou is a journalist, art critic and curator with extensive experience in the field of contemporary art.
She is the Director of the online art magazine dreamideamachine ART VIEW, the initiator of the Hydra Biennale, and Treasurer of the Greek Section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA HELLAS).
Through her work in journalism, art criticism and exhibition curation, as well as her collaborations with artists and arts professionals, she has developed extensive expertise in the presentation, communication and professional development of artistic practice.
