Paper & Book Conservation

The care and preservation of the Triton & Shell collection and Historical Archive are supported by the specialised conservation studio of A Book Tailor Lab, which shares the same premises while operating as a separate professional practice.

The studio specialises in the conservation of books and archival materials, works and objects on paper, as well as other material represented within the Triton & Shell collections. The examination of materials, construction techniques, and condition forms an important part of the documentation process and contributes to a better understanding of the history, use, and preservation needs of each object.

As part of its collaboration with Triton & Shell, the studio supports preventive care, documentation, the preparation of material for exhibition or study, and conservation treatments where necessary for the stabilisation and long-term preservation of the collections.

Professional conservation services for external clients are provided exclusively by A Book Tailor Lab and constitute a separate commercial activity from Triton & Shell.
