Studios
The studios of Triton & Shell are where research into the history and techniques of paper and the book is translated into practice. Through handmade papermaking, bookbinding, and the book arts, historical techniques and objects from the collection are brought into dialogue with education, experimentation, and contemporary artistic creation.

The studios of Triton & Shell – Paper Art Hub form the practical core of the organisation, supporting research, education, artistic creation, and the care of the collection. The premises are equipped with specialised facilities for handmade papermaking and bookbinding, as well as a conservation studio for books and archival materials.

The studios are used for educational programmes, research and artistic projects, collaborations with invited artists and researchers, and for the study, documentation, and care of the Triton & Shell collection and Historical Archive.

The same premises also house A Book Tailor Lab as a separate professional practice, the paper conservation studio and artistic workshop of Andreas Fatouros. Among its activities, A Book Tailor Lab undertakes the conservation of works of art, books, and archival materials, and operates a specialist shop offering handmade papers and materials for artists and conservation professionals.

A Book Tailor Lab and Triton & Shell coexist within the same premises as two distinct activities, allowing for close collaboration, the exchange of technical knowledge, and the shared use of specialised equipment. This arrangement contributes to the systematic care and conservation of the Triton & Shell collection, while the commercial activity of A Book Tailor Lab provides financial support for the operation and development of the non-profit organisation.
