About Triton & Shell

Collaborate

Triton & Shell welcomes collaborations with artists, craftspeople, researchers, universities, and cultural organisations on exhibitions, research, education, and projects connecting historical knowledge with contemporary practice.

Research and the preservation of knowledge surrounding paper and the book cannot develop in isolation. For this reason, Triton & Shell actively seeks collaborations with artists, craftspeople, researchers, conservators, universities, museums, libraries, archives, papermaking workshops, and other cultural and educational organisations in Greece and internationally.

We are particularly interested in collaborations that foster meaningful exchanges of knowledge and connect the collection and historical research with contemporary practice. A collaboration may begin with the study of an object, a technique, or an archival collection and develop into an exhibition, research project, publication, educational programme, lecture, masterclass, or practical workshop.

Triton & Shell is also open to joint research and curatorial projects, artistic productions, the documentation of historical techniques and workshops, and collaborations that enable researchers and students to engage with the collection and Historical Archive. Of particular interest are long-term partnerships with universities and research institutions through summer programmes, study visits, practice-based research, and collaborative projects.

Triton & Shell also welcomes donations of books, archives, samples, tools, and historic equipment relevant to the scope of its collection. Safeguarding such material is an important part of the development of the Historical Archive and creates new opportunities for research, documentation, and exhibitions.

Artists, researchers, and organisations interested in working with Triton & Shell are welcome to contact us with a brief introduction to their idea, field of interest, and the form of collaboration they would like to explore.
